Unfortunately, not many of us are quick enough – nor visually able while walking down an enclosed gantry – to note and record the N-number on the side of the aircraft during boarding. Ostensibly, one should find the N-number during booking, at least performing research on the craft well in advance of the flight. Consumers carry out immense research before purchasing other everyday products. We feign surprise when a plane experiences difficulty, when actually the onus is on us to flesh out the details of our purchase.
