Because as stodgy as newspapers can be, there are days when they live up to their promise and show us what\u2019s really going on in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Want some examples? Check out my blog for links to stories written by my colleagues at the <a href=\"http:\/\/expressnews.com\">San Antonio Express-News<\/a>, the city&#8217;s daily newspaper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This blog will include a <a href=\"http:\/\/johntedesco.net\/blog\/tag\/interviews\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201chow we did it\u201d section<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/johntedesco.net\/blog\/category\/students\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">resources for journalism students<\/a>. And along the way, hopefully we&#8217;ll find some ways to keep watchdog <a href=\"https:\/\/johntedesco.net\/blog\/tag\/journalism\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"journalism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">journalism<\/a> alive at a time when newspapers are struggling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I want people to get their hands dirty reading their local ink-covered relic.
