How to search multiple online phone directories at the same time

Phone BookThere’s a ton of free Internet people finders that let you find sources or long-lost classmates. But you often have to perform several searches on several different Web sites because their content varies wildly.

Argali is a useful search tool that lets you perform one search while it does the grunt work of aggregating results from various sources like AnyWho, SuperPages, and Switchboard. You can do statewide searches and reverse look ups if you have a telephone number but not a name. You can also e-mail the search results to yourself or colleagues.

Argali is downloadable software, which is free if you use it for personal use. A pro version costs $30 a year. I’ve been using it for several years now and it can be a real time saver on deadline.
